According to Greek mythology, Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos of Crete.  She fell in love with Theseus who was determined to kill the Minotaur--a half-man, half-beast creature--that was housed in the Labyrinth.  Theseus was able to accomplish this task and find his way out of the Labyrinth because of the gift that Ariadne had given to him--a thread.  Perhaps the thread was silver?  But that’s a story yet to be written…in the meantime, enjoy your passage through the Ariadne Jewelry site!
